Fluidlogged
Note: This description applies only to version 2.0.0 and above. Earlier versions work completely differently!
Requires YetAnotherConfigLib and Fabric API on Fabric
This mod opens up incredible possibilities - now ANY block in the game can be filled with liquid, and with any of the fluids available in Minecraft. Moreover, liquids can freely flow through blocks, creating amazing hydraulic systems.
The technical implementation is based on an innovative approach: liquids are separated from block states in each chunk. This significantly reduces RAM usage and speeds up game startup, especially when many mods are installed.
Many blocks that previously did not support liquid filling now work with this feature by default. If you don't like certain features (such as liquids flowing through blocks) - you can disable them in the mod's settings. All configuration changes are applied to the world instantly!
For convenience, a special command is available:
/setfluid - allows placing liquids in any blocks without changing settings.
IMPORTANT: If you discover incompatibility with other mods, report it to the author of Fluidlogged, not the developers of the mod you're having issues with!
Why beta version?
The mod actively interacts with chunk saving and loading processes - this is one of the main reasons for the "beta" status. Significant changes to the mod's codebase are also possible.
Can the mod damage the world?
Although the mod demonstrates stable performance, we strongly recommend creating backups of important worlds!
Can I use it in a modpack?
All my mods can be freely used in modpacks without restrictions!
