Zone BGM (for Forge Essentials)
This mod enables you to configure background music for various zones created using Forge Essentials. When a player enters a specific area on the server, the assigned music track or playlist automatically starts playing for them.
Key Features
Music tracks are loaded from internet sources via URL links. Popular platforms are supported, including YouTube videos, YouTube playlists, Twitch streams, and many other online audio content resources.
With this tool, you can create unique atmospheres for different locations on your server: set calm music for towns, cheerful melodies for shops, pirate themes for ships, and much more.
Technical Details
The mod uses RegionBGM API for streaming music to players and integrates with Forge Essentials for zone management. An important advantage is that the mod only needs to be installed on the server side. Players don't need to download additional mods to listen to the music.
Compatibility
The current version is developed for Minecraft 1.12.2. Corresponding versions of dependencies are required for proper operation.
Installation
To get started, you need to:
- Install RegionBGM on both client and server sides (all players on the server will need this mod)
- Add Forge Essentials to the server
- Install Zone BGM on the server
For convenient zone creation, it's also recommended to install WorldEdit on the server.
Supported Sources
Since RegionBGM API uses lavaplayer, all sources compatible with this library are supported. You can use virtually any online platforms with audio content.
