Fossilized Spawns
Important Note: This modification is intended for additional gameplay experience after getting familiar with the original method of obtaining creatures through the revival process from fossils. Remember that spawn locations are not scientifically accurate and should not be used for educational purposes.
We express gratitude to the Fossils and Archaeology team for creating an excellent base mod!
Fossilized Spawns is a simple addition to the Fossils and Archaeology modification for version 1.18.2. The main idea of this addon is that prehistoric creatures from Fossils and Archaeology now appear in the Minecraft world naturally, which is fundamentally different from the original approach where it's necessary to perform a complex revival process from fossil remains.
This mod is created for players who want to enjoy world exploration and random encounters with dinosaurs without the need to go through a multi-stage creation process.
The creature appearance mechanics are based on specific block types rather than biomes. This means that in theory, if the required blocks are present in modified biomes, creatures will also spawn there.
Important feature: creatures spawn only once during terrain generation and do not continue to spawn constantly. This means that in already generated world areas, new creatures will not appear, but in new chunks or freshly created worlds they will generate without problems.
