FPS Reducer

This mod automatically reduces GPU and CPU load by decreasing frame rate when the game window is inactive or you haven't interacted with Minecraft for a specified period (optional from version 2.0). Any user action instantly restores the original FPS.

Main Features

Automatic FPS reduction occurs in the following situations:

• No player actions for the specified time
• Game window is minimized or inactive

Additional functions:

• Sound volume reduction when game window is inactive or minimized
• Current FPS display on screen edge
  
• CPU usage display for client thread (from version 1.14)
  

Who will benefit from this mod

FPS Reducer is recommended in the following cases:

• When leaving the game running without active control (for example, for automated farming or industry)
• When working with other applications while Minecraft runs in the background
• To extend computer lifespan
• To save electricity
• In hot weather to reduce component heating

How to use

By default, after 5 minutes of inactivity, frame rate drops to 10 FPS.
The [PAUSE] key allows manual FPS reduction (new feature in version 1.16).
The [END] key by default opens the mod configuration menu.

Important information

This is a client-side mod, so installation on the server is not required.
