Freetrading
The Freetrading mod completely overhauls Minecraft's trading system, replacing traditional barter with a modern monetary economy.
Trading with Villagers
Players now buy and sell items using abstract currency instead of emeralds. Any item that can be purchased from villagers (excluding unemployed ones) can be sold back to any villager at a price equal to 1/24 of the purchase cost.
Villager career levels depend solely on their personal wealth. Wealth increases whenever players buy items from them (excluding emeralds). A single interface displays all available trades, including those temporarily unavailable due to insufficient villager level.
Emeralds have a fixed selling and buying price of 144 Minecraft coins. The mod supports trades added by other custom modifications.
Custom Trade Configuration
You can add your own trades. To do this, download the configuration file and place it in the .minecraft/config
directory. After that, you can edit the file to add new items for buying and selling. All keys in the JSON file are optional.
Player-to-Player Trading
The player trading system includes several important features. If a player's inventory cannot hold the offered items, the deal is automatically canceled, and both participants receive a corresponding chat message.
When one player clicks the "Seal a deal" button, the interface shows a lock for them and their partner. After clicking this button, the player cannot modify the offered items and money. Trading can only be initiated if the player starting the deal has no item in their main hand.
Integration with Other Mods
Freetrading integrates with popular economy mods. If Forge Essentials is installed on the server, the mod will use the wallet provided by that mod. Similar support is implemented for Grand Economy and EnderPay, ensuring compatibility with various economic systems.
