Frostbyte's Improved Inventory

This mod significantly enhances the Minecraft user interface by adding numerous useful features for inventory management, interface, and game screens. Each feature can be individually enabled and disabled through the configuration file, via the mod's settings menu, or by disabling the corresponding hotkeys.

Main Features

Slot Cycling

Allows the player to cyclically switch between active hotbar slots with different items in the same column using assigned keys.

Durability Display

Displays the current durability of equipped armor directly on the game screen.

Stack Auto-Refill

Automatically replenishes item stacks on the hotbar with matching items from the main inventory.

Automatic Tool Selection

Automatically switches to the most effective tool for the block being broken or entity being attacked.

Inventory Sorting

Combines and sorts all item stacks inside an open container.

Zoom

Temporarily reduces the field of view to zoom in on the center of the screen.

Character Display

Displays the player model on the screen (like in Bedrock Edition).

Extended Brightness

Allows setting brightness above the standard 100%.

Item Visibility in Boats

Prevents items in hands from being hidden when controlling a boat.

Colored Armor Bars

Colors the armor bars according to the color of equipped armor.

Container Tabs

Allows switching between block inventories within reach when the inventory screen is open.

Map Preview

Displays a preview of the hovered map.

Shulker Box Preview

Displays the contents of the hovered shulker box.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the mod be updated to version 1.x.x? Yes! I plan to update this mod for as long as possible. Expect updates a few weeks after major Minecraft releases. There may be longer pauses between minor versions depending on my availability.

Will there be a Forge version? No. I don't create mods for Forge, but you can create your own (unofficial) port provided you credit me for any code borrowed from this mod.

Can I use this mod in my modpack? Yes! I created this mod for players to use!
