Frozen Sentinels

Frozen Sentinels is an expansion for the Cold Snap Horde mod that allows players to enhance simple automated creatures - snow golems, turning them into full-fledged combat companions.

How It Works

First, you need to craft a basic animation core and give it to a snow golem. After this, the creature becomes empowered and transforms into your loyal guardian. Like a tamed wolf, this enhanced golem will follow you closely, attacking any approaching monster or creature you attack yourself with snowballs. It possesses an impressive health pool - a full 15 hearts. If you need to leave your companion in place, simply right-click on it - it will switch to stationary mode. Another right-click will return the golem to follow mode.

Additional Features

You might want to make your snow guardian even more effective. Fortunately, the basic animation core allows you to install special stones with engraved symbols that alter your snow warrior's behavior.

Currently, 6 different symbols are available. More options are planned for the future. All current options represent the basic enhancement level. Over time, more advanced types of protectors based on these initial versions will appear. Some symbols may require a higher-level creature for their application.

Healing Guardians

Your snow protectors can receive healing. Giving them snow blocks restores a small amount of health, while ice blocks provide substantial healing - colder ice varieties offer better healing effects.

Available Symbols

If you're familiar with the original Cold Snap Horde, these symbols will seem familiar:

• Gunner Symbol - equips the creature with basic firearms and makes it move like a skeleton archer
• Stabber Symbol - gives the golem a knife for aggressive melee attacks
• Snowballer Symbol - preserves the golem's classic behavior, but now snowballs contain stone cores
• Gifter Symbol - equips the guardian with an explosive gift dealing significant damage to surrounding creatures, itself, and freezing the nearby terrain
• Zapper Symbol - transforms the creature into a mechanical monster using melee attacks to install lightning-summoning transponders before retreating
• Brawler Symbol - equips the golem with boxing equipment, attacks may not deal the highest damage but possess crushing punch force

Modpack Compatibility

Yes, the mod can be included in packs, but note that it requires the original Cold Snap Horde mod for proper operation.
