Frustum Culling (Increases FPS)

As demonstrated in the video, any objects outside the camera's field of view are ignored and not displayed on the screen. To verify this yourself, press F5 to switch the view — you'll notice that entities behind the player actually disappear when you turn your back to them.

This optimization method aims to improve performance and increase FPS by rendering only those elements that fall within the field of view. This dramatically reduces the load on both the central processor and graphics card, being particularly noticeable in areas with dense clusters of mobs or other active objects.

The functionality includes the ability to activate or disable the technology using a customizable key (default — "L").

How Frustum Culling Works

The technology determines which specific game objects (including creatures and particles) are in the direct line of sight — the so-called viewing frustum. Only they are sent for rendering, which eliminates unnecessary CPU calculations.

Impact on System Resources

By skipping from the rendering process all elements that the player cannot see, the volume of tasks performed by GPU/CPU is significantly reduced. This directly improves gameplay smoothness and frames per second.

To test the mod's operation, create a scene with many active elements (mobs or other entities) and try looking back — they will stop being displayed.

The mod can be freely used in any modpack. Especially effective when working with resource-intensive modpacks that reduce performance.
