Game of Cobble

This modification introduces a unique block with multiple functions: allows creating decorative elements, generating various types of cobblestone and stone, and is used in redstone mechanisms.

How it works

Fill inventory slots with cobblestone and provide a redstone signal. Slots bordering four or more filled ones will be cleared. At the same time, empty slots adjacent to exactly three filled ones will begin producing cobblestone. If generation occurs outside the inventory, blocks will appear in the game world. It's possible to combine multiple blocks into a single grid. To explore additional materials beyond standard cobblestone, use JEI.

This principle is based on Conway's "Game of Life" cellular automaton - study this concept for interesting ideas on mod application.

Configuration

Server settings allow changing the maximum number of blocks forming a common grid. Reducing this value won't affect already existing large structures.

Adding new items for use with Game of Cobble is done through crafting recipes.
