Gear Swapper

The Gear Swapper mod provides a convenient way to create and quickly switch between four different equipment sets, including items on the quick access panel and armor. All of this is implemented through a special block in the game.

Main Functionality

Simple actions are provided for working with the system:

  • To save the current item configuration in one of the four slots, you need to crouch and left-click on the selected slot. Your current equipment remains with you. The block also remembers the quantity of each item and will later attempt to restore exactly that amount.
  • To activate a saved set, simply right-click on the corresponding slot. All items that interfere with restoring the remembered configuration will be automatically moved to the player's inventory. Slots that were empty when saving remain unchanged.

Item Search System

When restoring equipment, the block sequentially checks:

  1. Player's inventory
  2. The block's internal storage (4×4 buffer)
  3. Adjacent containers

The Bauble inventory is also supported if the corresponding mod is installed.

Advanced Settings

For fine-tuning, a special interface is available that opens when clicking on the "Settings..." label or the sides of the block.

Gear Swapper Interface

The example above shows four different configurations:

  • The top left set is configured for resource gathering: sword, pickaxe, torches, sand, and durable armor. Two crossed-out slots will be cleared, the others remain unchanged.
  • The top right set is intended for garden work without using armor.
  • The bottom left set is configured for technical work.
  • The bottom right set completely clears the quick access panel and armor slots.

Item Storage Management

Three icons in the top left corner of the interface determine the priority for storing items when switching equipment. By default, the system first tries to place items in the player's inventory, then in the block's internal storage, and only then in adjacent containers. If all options are unavailable, items simply drop into the world without loss.

You can change these priorities by clicking on the corresponding icons. For example, if you prefer tools and armor to be stored in the block's internal inventory, change the top icon to the wooden chest variant.

Block Varieties

Five types of Gear Swapper blocks are available: stone, wooden, lapis lazuli, iron, and glass. Additionally, through the configuration file, you can add a block with a custom texture.
