An addon for Tech Reborn for Fabric 1.16+.

Gear Reborn presents a collection of practical equipment that complements TR and follows its style. Heavily inspired by IC2.

What this mod currently adds:
Hazmat Suit

A shiny yellow rubber suit, sealed against the environment, enhanced with a breathing apparatus and a cooling system! Probably. Wearing the full set (with rubber boots for the feet!) passively protects you from:

  • Fire damage (not magma);
  • Freezing damage;
  • Electrical shocks (from stun guns and uninsulated wires);
  • Bee stings.

Additionally, it:

  • Protects from death in magma provided it has a constant energy supply;
  • Allows breathing underwater provided you keep Cells of Compressed Air in your inventory, each lasting ~20 seconds (configurable).

The suit pieces, EXCLUDING THE BOOTS, have no durability but offer mediocre protection values and cannot be enchanted.

Night Vision Goggles
  • Good old NVGs. Run on energy and can be toggled with the N key by default.
  • Do not blind you in sunlight, unlike their IC2 counterpart!
Rubber Armor
  • Rubber armor! It's a bit better than leather armor, and each piece provides some knockback resistance. TR rubber is canonically not latex.
Rubber Boots
  • Your go-to tool for preventing hip dislocation! Significantly reduces fall damage with each fall at the cost of some wear. Technically part of the rubber armor set but deserves its own mention.
  • Degrade quickly if you fall a lot! Repairable with rubber and enchantable, hint hint.
  • Damage logic is identical to their IC2 equivalent!
Stun Gun
  • For a more pacifist approach! Unless you're dealing with arachnids. Simply charge it with some energy, turn it on, wait for its high-voltage capacitors to charge, and strike whatever (or whoever) you want to stun! Each charge takes ~0.5k E. Mobs are stunned for ~6 seconds, during which they are significantly slowed and weakened. Arachnids take heavy damage from it. Creepers explode when shocked with this.
  • You toggle the stun gun on/off by holding Shift and right-clicking with it in hand. After ~5 seconds of charging (indicated by rapid clicking), it will be ready to use. There is a capacitor charge indicator in the stun gun's tooltip. Gray means the capacitors are empty, yellow means partially charged and not yet usable, green means fully charged and ready. Mostly useless though, as the tip of the stun gun visibly sparks with energy when everything is ready.

Note: This project is in no way affiliated with Team Reborn; it merely uses their libraries, and its name flows nicely with the series.
