Get It Together, Drops! - Control Over Dropped Item Merging
This mod provides flexible settings for controlling how dropped items merge on the ground. Such optimization is particularly useful in situations of mass item drops - after explosions or on automated farms, where it significantly reduces performance load.
Configurable Parameters
The mod offers two main configuration settings (for Forge 1.15+ versions, parameters are located in the serverconfig folder of the world directory):
- Search Radius - value from 0.5 to 500 blocks, defining the area within which an item will search for others to merge with. For example, setting the value to 5.0 means searching within a 5-block radius in all directions. The value 0.5 corresponds to the game's standard behavior. Note that walls and obstacles are not taken into account.
- Vertical Check - enable this option if you want items to also search for neighbors above and below themselves. When disabled, Minecraft's standard behavior is used.
Item Tag System
For fine-tuning the behavior of specific items, two special tags are available:
- getittogetherdrops:do_not_combine - items with this tag never merge with others
- getittogetherdrops:ignored - items with this tag are completely ignored by the mod and behave according to the game's standard rules. This tag takes precedence over the previous one.
Work Demonstration
The mod is fully compatible with any modpacks and can be installed only on the server without requiring client installation.
