Epic Fight - Give Me An Infernal Gainer

This compact modification enables the use of the "Epic Fight - Infernal Gainer by Reascer" moveset in Minecraft 1.20.1 versions where direct integration of the original mod is prevented by compatibility issues.

Version Compatibility Information

Versions labeled with the "Legacy" prefix are designed for Epic Fight 20.9.7 and below, while versions without this prefix are compatible with Epic Fight 20.10.2 and higher.

Installation and Configuration

Following the installation of this mod and its mandatory dependency "Lazy Utilities" (version 2.1.6 or newer), an additional directory named "Lazy Utilities/epicfight" will appear within your mods folder. You must place the original "Epic Fight - Infernal Gainer" mod by Reascer into this location. This configuration permits the current modification to utilize the original as a portable library. Failure to complete this step will result in improper functionality, although the mod will technically remain active.

File addition can be performed even during gameplay, but executing a command to reload the modification will be necessary. Please note that this operation may be resource-intensive and not always effective.

Mod Operation Statuses

Normal Operation

During initial startup or configuration changes, an informational tab will appear. If all processes complete successfully, the system will confirm operational readiness. For troubleshooting assistance, refer to the solutions section below.

Proper Resource Pack Ordering

Correct resource pack loading sequence is crucial for proper functionality. An incorrect order will render the mod inoperable.

Missing Files

If required files are absent, their extensions have been altered, or their internal structure has been modified (including removal of mods.toml from jar files), the modification will be unable to perform its intended functions or execute animations.

Repairable Errors

This situation occurs when file writing processes encounter corruption. Typically, damaged files are automatically cleared and removed. The restart button enables data overwriting capabilities, including empty files while ignoring previous entries to accelerate the recovery process.

Critical Failures

Severe system errors are accompanied by exceptions and typically cause game crashes during loading phases. The continue button does not appear under these circumstances.

Management Commands

When adding files prior to game startup, utilize these commands:

  • /lazy-utilities epicfight-utilities addons-client build
  • More precise command: /lazy-utilities epicfight-utilities addons-client rebuild

Following command execution, resource reloading via F3+T combination will be required.

Ef Infernal Moveset

The modification introduces a comprehensive combat system featuring combinations of hand strikes and kick maneuvers. The ultimate "Infernal Shoryuken" ability launches a "magmadookie" projectile that sets struck enemies ablaze. While sprinting, players execute "Shoryuken" to deliver a devastating blow to opponents.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is This a Mod Port?

No, this module does not constitute a port because:

  • It neither reuses nor modifies the original source code
  • It maintains no dependencies on original animations or assets
  • It distributes none of the original work's code or resources
  • It requires the original file's presence as a dependency

Why Do Items Display Basic Fist Animations?

This moveset configuration is designed for two-handed weapons. Place items in both main and offhand slots to activate appropriate animations.

Flame Type Customization

Alter attack fire colors using tags. The "getsoulfire" tag (with representing any value) activates blue flame effects. This also affects projectile trails from unique abilities.

Example: "data/infernal_config/tags/items/get_soulfire_items.json"

Deactivating Fire Effects

Disable fire particles by applying "get_bannedfire*" tags to relevant items.

Example: "data/infernal_config/tags/items/banned_fire_items.json"
