About the Modification

Gizmos is a collection of diverse innovations that radically change the familiar gameplay of vanilla Minecraft. The mod combines many of the author's original ideas into one compact package. From homemade flamethrowers to tameable ravagers - it features concepts that are only loosely connected to each other, but each one is unique in its own way!

Combat Equipment

Currently, the mod offers two new types of weapons:

Soul Fire Spitter - an improvised weapon assembled from spare parts and powered by blaze powder.

Slingshot - an elastic device for throwing snowballs, eggs, and ender pearls over long distances.

Firework Star Block

Inspired by cubfan135's "Minecraft Opportunities" series, the author has added the firework star block to the game! This block is used to create your own customized firework stars.

Cultivated Shulker

The mod also adds the chorus gourd block, which can be created by surrounding a pumpkin with chorus flowers on a crafting table. If you shear the chorus gourd with scissors, a friendly cultivated shulker will emerge that attacks hostile mobs and protects the player.

Tameable Ravagers

Ravagers can now be tamed and ridden! To do this, you need to weaken the ravager to one heart and feed it a golden apple. After taming, you can ride your new battle companion and use its assistance in combat.

Horseshoes

Install horseshoes on your mounts (including tamed ravagers) to significantly increase their speed! Horseshoes can also be enchanted with any enchantments available for regular boots. To remove horseshoes from your mount, simply right-click on them with an iron, diamond, or netherite pickaxe.

Snow Golems with Effects

Gizmos significantly expands the functionality of snow golems by allowing them to be imbued with potion effects! Simply right-click on a snow golem with a potion in your main hand to transfer the effects of that potion to it. Each effect (with some exceptions) provides the snow golem with a unique advantage. Experiment with different potions to find the most effective use for your enhanced snow golems!

Seeker Arrows

Seeker arrows can independently find enemies like heat-seeking missiles! They are crafted from a feather, stick, and eye of ender. These arrows automatically target the Ender Dragon, shulkers, and endermen. Unlike other projectiles, endermen cannot dodge seeker arrows! If the listed mobs are not nearby, the arrows will target entities affected by the glowing effect.
