Gladius - Combat Evolved
Introduction to the Modification
Gladius is a modification designed to significantly enhance Minecraft's combat system. Starting from version 1.9.4+, the mod offers the following key features:
Parrying - if you attack simultaneously with your opponent, damage from both sides is reduced by half. This creates an interesting tactical element in combat.
Tactical shield usage - when blocking with a shield while crouching and receiving a hit from an enemy, your character is knocked back 2-3 blocks. This mechanism allows you to use the force of the enemy's attack for quick retreat.
Unique sound effects - both regular sword attacks and successful parries are accompanied by special sounds, making combat more atmospheric.
Future Plans
Developers continue working on the modification and plan to add many new features, including additional attacks for standard swords, new defense methods, combo attacks, and improvements to the movement system in combat.
Important Version Information
As of June 11, 2017, support for Minecraft versions prior to 1.12 has been discontinued. All new features and bug fixes will be available only for version 1.12 and above.
