GlobalSpawn
The GlobalSpawn mod provides advanced player respawn management capabilities in Minecraft. Server administrators and modpack creators can flexibly configure character spawn locations.
Main Features
You can set a global respawn point for all players that will be used instead of the standard spawn point in the overworld. This is particularly useful for creating unique scenarios - for example, when players start the game in the Nether or other custom dimensions.
Also available is the initial spawn point feature, which activates only when a player first joins the server. This allows placing newcomers in special tutorial zones or welcome areas.
Respawn Priority System
The system works according to the following algorithm:
- If it's the player's first join and an initial spawn is configured - use that
- If the player has a personal respawn point (bed, respawn anchor) - use standard mechanics
- If the global respawn point is active - use that
- In all other cases - standard overworld spawn point
Management Commands
/globalspawnpoint query
/globalspawnpoint remove
/globalspawnpoint set <dimension> <position> <criterion> <spread> <angle>
These commands manage the global respawn point for all players without personal respawn points.
/initialspawnpoint query
/initialspawnpoint remove
/initialspawnpoint set <dimension> <position> <criterion> <spread> <angle>
These commands configure a one-time spawn point for new players upon their first join.
