GM Pickup Pack [FVTM]

I present to you a new content pack currently in development for the Ferd's FVTM mod. FVTM is a modification that adds vehicles to Minecraft versions 1.12.2, 1.20.1, and 1.20.4. Approximately four years after releasing the "Heavy Truck Pack" for 1.12.2, I was finally able to return to working on a new pack at the end of last year.

Available Pickup Models

The pack currently features three different pickup models with a total of 7 configurations:

2500HD:

• Regular cab with long bed
• Crew cab with short bed
• Crew cab with long bed

3500HD:

• Regular cab with dual rear wheels
• Crew cab with dual rear wheels

3500HD Chassis:

• Short/long chassis frame

Functionality and Controls

All trucks are equipped with headlights, turn signals, tail lights, and reverse lights. The dashboard also illuminates when the lights are on.

Keyboard Controls:

• W — Acceleration (deceleration when reversing)
• S — Deceleration (acceleration when reversing)
• A — Turn left
• D — Turn right
• Space — Brake
• R — Vehicle inventory/interface
• L — Light toggle: off, low beams, high beams, fog lights

Additional Controls: In addition to standard FVTM keybinds, the pickups have light controls that can be clicked from the driver's seat. Doors and the tailgate can be opened by clicking external handles from outside the vehicle or internal handles while sitting in the seat closest to the door.

Additional Equipment

The pack includes numerous accessories that can be installed and removed:

Steel Bumper — The standard front bumper can be removed using the "Part Removal and Maintenance Toolbox" from FVTM.

Toolboxes — Install in the pickup bed. Currently no inventory as this feature is not yet implemented in FVTM for version 1.20.

Headache Racks — Install on the pickup bed. Available in black and chrome options, equipped with tail lights and reverse lights.

Flatbeds — The pickup bed must be removed before installation. Built-in gooseneck hitch.

Lumber Racks — Install on the pickup bed. Inventory for wood is planned.

Gooseneck Hitch — Installs in the pickup bed, used for towing gooseneck or cattle trailers.

Hitches — Three types of hitch devices installed under the rear bumper: "LD" for light trailers, "HD" for equipment and dump trailers, "pintle" for heavy-duty pintle trailers.

Cab Lights — Standard on 3500HD models, but can also be added to 2500HD pickups.

Bodies for 3500HD Chassis

Service Bodies — Equipped with 6-8 compartments and a slot for a rear hitch. After inventory implementation in FVTM, each compartment will have separate storage for item organization.

Stake Bodies — Large platforms for transporting pallets and other cargo. Also features a slot for a rear hitch.

Trailers

Trailers will be released in separate content packs. The first trailer pack will be released soon and is almost ready. It will include:

• Single and tandem axle utility trailers
• Tandem and tridem axle cattle trailers
• Gooseneck trailer
• Tandem and tridem equipment trailers

Requirements

For the pack to work, the following are required:

• Fex's Vehicle and Transportation Mod — version 4.20.7d (1.20.1)
• Fex's Common Library — version 20.7 (1.20.1)
• General Essentials Pack — version 3.1.0 (1.20.1)

Installation

Currently, the pack is only available for Forge version 1.20.1. After the updated version of FVTM is released for 1.12.2, the pack can be used in that version as well. At that time, an update will be released to fix item texture issues in 1.12. Install FVTM packs in the mods folder, like regular Forge mods.
