Golden Age Combat

About the Mod
Golden Age Combat revives the legendary combat mechanics of Minecraft version 1.8 in modern game builds. Say goodbye to attack cooldowns — fast clicking and dynamic battles are back!
This project completely removes the attack cooldown system along with all related elements: animations, tooltips, and indicators. Every detail of the combat system has been carefully reworked to recreate that classic gameplay that players loved so much.
Want to bring back not only fast-paced combat but also sword blocking? Then check out the Sword Blocking Mechanics mod.
Important: Golden Age Combat is intended exclusively for single-player and modded servers. Use on vanilla servers, especially in competitive modes, is impossible and not supported.

Key Features
- No Attack Cooldown: Complete removal of cooldown animation and attack indicator
- Balanced Damage: Damage values for all weapons and tools reworked for the new system, close to version 1.8 values
- Critical Hits While Sprinting: Deal critical attacks while running
- Effective Knockback: Knockback works in the air, allowing you to send enemies flying with frequent hits
- Combat Snowballs and Eggs: These items now knock back players
- Fishing Rod as Weapon: Hooks deal knockback to entities and players, taking less damage
- Enlarged Hitboxes: Hit zone size increased by 10% for easier aiming
- Classic Animations: Client-side combat animations restored — lost hearts no longer flash, added bow/potion/food punching
- Reworked Regeneration: Fast health regeneration from surplus saturation disabled (turned off by default)
- Legendary Golden Apples: Enchanted golden apples again provide previous effects, including powerful regeneration
