Graffiti

The Graffiti mod was originally created for the MMD Birthday Jam competition and emerged victorious!

This modification is all about creativity and art. Now you can freely write and draw on any surfaces in Minecraft, sharing your artistic works with other players!

Main Features

You get complete creative freedom - draw on walls, floors, and ceilings! Simply right-click anywhere with a pen in hand to create a drawing area, then right-click again to open the text editor. Or use Shift+Right Click in the air to switch to free drawing mode, where you can immediately apply images to blocks. Additional bonus: if you hold a second pen in your offhand, you can draw and write with the left mouse button! Unfortunately, this feature only works in survival mode.

Each block supports up to 6 separate canvases, allowing you to draw in corners and complex locations without limiting your creativity!

Canvas Editor

The special canvas editor allows you to modify already drawn images. While technically not a real canvas, for a graffiti artist the entire city becomes a canvas!

This feature truly unlocks the mod's full potential, enabling you to:

• Change canvas size (from 16x16 to 128x128 pixels)
• Edit already written text
• Import and export your works to share with friends

Tool Creation

Crafting recipes are very simple! Start by creating a black pen, then change its color by placing two dyes of the same color next to it. Pens are available in all 16 dye colors, plus three additional colors for Minecraft text codes that don't exist among dyes.

Import and Export

All your artistic works can be exported at any time to a .json file, which is saved in the Minecraft directory. This file contains complete information about your creation: pixels, texts, and additional information.

Similarly, you can import works by placing a valid .json file in the same directory! It's not recommended to edit the .json file manually.

Important Information

Performance with a large number of graffiti blocks in one area hasn't been thoroughly tested. Especially if you use many 128x128 canvases on a server, expect some performance drop when loading the area and possible FPS reduction.

Graffiti is art. However, graffiti as an act of vandalism is a crime. Every state/province has vandalism laws that apply to graffiti, and local authorities have anti-graffiti ordinances. Violation of these laws can result in a fine, probation, or jail time. Fureniku does not condone acts of vandalism in real life in any form.

Additionally, I am not responsible for user-generated content created with this mod. People will draw rude and offensive images, I am aware of this and cannot do anything to prevent it beyond the tools offered in the mod. Any server using this mod should be aware of that and take necessary precautions.
