GraveStones - Die Classy
Smart Solution for Item Loss
This mod completely changes the approach to death in Minecraft. Instead of losing all your items upon death, you get an elegant gravestone that preserves your inventory and helps you easily retrieve lost items.
How the Gravestone System Works
When a player dies, a stylish gravestone appears at the death location with a memorial inscription, character name, and all items from your inventory. This eliminates the need to rush for your items and risk losing them forever.
Gravestone Selection and Customization
10 different gravestone models are available to choose from. Simply press the 'M' key to open the selection menu and pick the appropriate design. The selection key can be reassigned in Minecraft's control settings.
Gravestones always spawn facing east, but can be rotated by holding Shift and right-clicking. 24 rotation positions are available with 15-degree increments.
Inventory System
Each gravestone contains an inventory that fills with the player's inventory contents upon death. Items can be retrieved in several ways:
If it's your gravestone: Simply right-click to open the interface and take all needed items.
If it's someone else's gravestone: You can take only one item, after which the gravestone seals and becomes inaccessible to other players.
Important: Items can only be taken out, not added to the gravestone. In creative mode, gravestones can be filled with items.
Visual Cues and Armor Display
If the gravestone belongs to you and contains items, it emits a light beam that helps you easily find it even from a distance.
If you died wearing armor (helmet or chestplate), these items will be displayed on the bust gravestone, creating a unique visual effect.
Decorative Gravestones
You can also create decorative gravestones to decorate your world. The crafting system includes several upgrade levels:
After reaching the maximum level, the gravestone returns to the first level, creating an upgrade cycle.
Although custom death messages are no longer available, you can use a name tag to change the text on the gravestone. The name tag is not consumed in the process.

Technical Features
Smart Placement: When dying in lava or above it, the gravestone searches for a suitable spawning location by scanning the area in a spiral around the death point. It always spawns, except when dying in the void.
Explosions: When exploded by a creeper, the gravestone spawns but may be destroyed by the same explosion. Items still drop to the ground.
Settings: A configuration file is available where you can choose automatic or manual gravestone selection, as well as set up a level system where the gravestone appearance improves with player level growth.
Compatibility with Other Mods
The mod supports integration with popular mods, preserving their contents in the gravestone:
- Rpg Inventory
- Tinker's Construct
- Baubels
- Galacticraft
- Mariculture
When opening the gravestone, additional tabs appear for each installed mod, allowing easy retrieval of corresponding items.
Compatibility with Nightkosh's Gravestone mod is also supported, allowing you to use its additional features alongside this gravestone system.
Stability
Currently, no critical bugs have been identified in the mod's operation.
