Great Big World
"Reimagining Minecraft, one line of code at a time."
Great Big World is a comprehensive collection of modifications united by a common goal - to completely rethink the Minecraft game world using new design concepts. This project offers a modern perspective on the "alternate timeline" genre previously represented in well-known mods like Better Than Adventure and Not So Secret Saturday.
For a more detailed introduction to the mod's capabilities, we recommend watching overview videos on YouTube.
The mod is in BETA testing stage! Server compatibility issues have been largely resolved. After completing the development of core gameplay features for the first phase, the project will move to the release stage.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Great Big World be made compatible with mod X?
GBW is not designed for compatibility with most other content mods. This is a completely standalone gaming experience. However, there are exceptions: optimization mods like Sodium should be compatible. If you encounter issues, report them in the bug tracking system! Can Great Big World be used in modpacks?
Probably not, but I consider each case individually. Please note that Great Big World has an ARR license that prohibits distribution (including use in modpacks) without permission from the author (me).
The issue with using GBW in packs relates to the first FAQ: there's no guarantee of compatibility with other content mods. If it were freely usable in packs, I would receive numerous reports about compatibility issues that I've explicitly stated I won't fix. If you want to use GBW in a pack, contact me directly and I'll make a decision. Generally, if your pack consists mainly of quality of life and optimization mods, GBW will be allowed. If it contains other content mods, permission won't be granted.
Starting from version 0.15.0, GBW now includes separate standalone mods in its file. These mods are intended for use outside GBW and can be freely used in modpacks.
