GT5 Reimagined - Updated Version of the Classic Technology Mod
The GT5 Reimagined mod represents a comprehensive reworking of the famous GregTech by GregoriusT, adapted for modern Minecraft versions. This project completely transforms the gameplay by adding complex production chains, numerous new mechanisms and materials, as well as modifying existing recipes for better integration with its own system.
The main goal of the mod is to make the game more balanced and realistic by removing overly powerful elements and adding useful utilities and complex machines that expand gameplay possibilities.
Key Differences from Previous Versions
The developers have eliminated many controversial decisions from GT5u and integrated the best elements from GT6, as well as effectively utilizing new Minecraft features. Here are the main changes:
- Removed the ability to smelt mixed ores (magnetite and pyrite) directly into ingots - now this requires using a roaster or primitive blast furnace
- Bronze blast furnace replaced with primitive blast furnace
- Added coke oven from GT6
- Completely reworked aluminum, titanium, and tungsten processing according to GT6 standards
- Aluminum no longer requires blast furnace for smelting into ingots
- Implemented proper vitriol and platinum group sludge processing from GT6
- Added convenient blocks from GT6: drums, mass storages, lockers, crafting tables, and chests
- Added vanilla-style item barrels
- Added large tanks from GT6
- Most single-block machines now only work up to EV level, some up to IV, and above that - only transformers, hatches, and similar devices
- Created multiblock alternatives for many machines: large electrolyzer, large centrifuge, large autoclave, large pulverizer, and others, most of which support parallel processing
- Chemical bath replaced with GT6-style version that doesn't require energy - only time; also added multiblock version called "large bathing vat"
- Implemented autocrafter based on GT6 and own multiblock assembly line for mass item creation and recipe assembly
- Added multiblock tree growth simulator
- Instead of IC2 fission reactor, GT6-style fission reactors are used, which are already functional but require additional blocks and covers for full functionality
This list doesn't cover all changes - developers are constantly working on improvements for future versions.
Current Project Status
The mod is in alpha testing stage, so errors and unfinished content are possible. However, the main content up to EV level is mostly ready. Endgame content such as fusion reactor and replication is not yet completed.
