Gun Customization
This mod introduces various firearms to Minecraft with extensive customization options for players and modpack creators.
Craft your own weapons and ammunition, upgrade their characteristics. Mount bipods on sniper rifles to improve accuracy, use silencers for stealth operations, employ grenades for assaulting fortifications or flamethrowers for clearing bunkers. The modification also allows healing allies on the battlefield, shooting poisoned darts, launching rockets to destroy structures, and much more!
Each weapon can be fully personalized using additional modules that change textures, add potion-like effects, adjust fire rate, accuracy, ballistics, and other parameters.
Available Arsenal
The base mod includes a standard weapon set: rocket launchers, pistols, shotguns, sniper rifles, and assault rifles. To fully unlock the mod's potential, it's recommended to install additional weapon packs, which are placed in the GunCus folder next to the Config and Mods directories. Multiple such packs can be activated simultaneously, each in its own folder.
Gameplay
After obtaining redstone, players can:
- Craft weapons from redstone and iron ingots using the weapon box
- Manufacture magazines in the special magazine box
- Produce ammunition in the bullet box
- Reload magazines using stationary or portable devices
- Modify weapons by adding or removing scopes, barrels, and additional modules in the weapon box
Weapon controls:
- Left click - fire
- Right click - aim
- Shift - hold breath while aiming
- Automatic reload (except when aiming)
- Ctrl+C - switch between bullets and grenades
- Ctrl+V - change fire mode
- Ctrl+G - select ammunition type
- Ctrl+F - use knife
Mines explode on contact without requiring pressure plates.
Creating Custom Addons
Each weapon pack represents a separate folder with unique textures, sounds, and settings. Weapon textures are created based on the base "gun.png" image with additional layers for scopes, barrels, and modules. The mod automatically combines these elements, eliminating the need to manually draw all possible combinations.
Sound effects are configured through the "sounds.json" file in the addon's root folder. Ammunition can be used by multiple weapon types within the same pack and is customizable by:
- Damage multiplier
- Gravity
- Crafting cost
- Icon texture
- 3D model
- Shooting accuracy
- Impact effects

For version 1.7.10, identifiers are assigned dynamically, while world compatibility is ensured through internal names. Localization is handled through standard language files.
