GUNS RPG Mod
About the Mod
This hardcore modification pack for Minecraft fundamentally changes the gameplay by adding a full-fledged RPG system with character development through skills, perks, and quests. We recommend checking the wiki before starting to play - the mod is truly challenging, and you'll die many times before mastering all its mechanics.
Skill System
You have access to over 300 unique abilities for leveling up your character and weapons. All skills are divided into four main branches: Weapons, Survival, Resource Gathering, and Resistance. Weapon skills have their own tree-like development structures. Open the skills interface with the 'O' key.
Perk System
Perks complement the skill system, allowing you to improve specific characteristics like reload speed or melee damage. These abilities are stored in crystals that are mined underground similar to ores. However, not all crystals carry positive effects - some may contain negative modifiers, so choose them wisely.
Fortunately, negative effects can be removed through a purification process, and clean crystals can then be combined at a special fusion station.
Quests
The mod offers over 100 unique quests (with the ability to easily add new ones through datapacks). Quests are assigned by the Mayor, who randomly appears in regular villages.
Quest difficulty and rewards depend on your reputation, which increases with successful quest completion and decreases with failures. Completing quests can reward you with rare types of ammunition and other valuable items.
Mob Changes
Hostile mobs now spawn with 1x-4x more health, making them much more durable. Additionally, special mobs like Gunners and Grenadiers have been added, who can attack you even at long distances.
Negative Effects
Taking damage from mobs or the environment can cause various negative status effects. You can get bleeding from cuts or poison from spider bites. Effects gradually spread and intensify over time if left untreated - this is displayed as percentages next to the effect icon.
After death, you receive a respawn effect that leaves you with only 3 hearts of health for 3 minutes, so suicide to reset effects isn't the best strategy.
Blood Moons and Supply Drops
Every 3 days, a supply drop appears near a random player containing useful resources: ammunition, medical supplies, and other equipment.
Blood Moons, occurring every 7 days, bring nothing good. During these nights, all mobs become extremely aggressive, mobs from other dimensions appear, and special unique creatures spawn.
Hidden Stashes
At level 30, you unlock the ability to craft a stash detector. When activated, it attempts to detect nearby loot stashes, with distance to them displayed through colored LEDs and sound signals. The detector runs on batteries.
Final Boss
During your adventures, you'll receive golden egg shards for reaching certain progress milestones (maximum character level, maximum weapon level, maximum Mayor reputation). These shards can be assembled into a golden egg, which when placed in the world and ignited with flint and steel initiates the final boss spawn process.
