Hero Aviation Helicopter Pack [IV/MTS content pack]

Modification Overview

This content pack extends the Immersive Vehicles framework capabilities by adding realistic helicopters of various types to Minecraft. The pack includes several detailed models with unique characteristics and functionality.

Available Helicopter Models

Robinson R22

A compact training helicopter, ideal for reconnaissance and basic transport tasks. Equipped with Lycoming O-320 engine uses skids instead of wheels. Accommodates two pilots or one pilot with a cargo container.

Eurocopter EC145

A modern light multi-purpose helicopter that can be used for medical evacuation, police operations and VIP transport. Features two Turbomeca 1E2 engines, uses skids and can carry 2 pilots and 4 passengers or cargo items.

AH-64 Apache

A Cold War-era combat attack helicopter that remains relevant today. Equipped with 30mm M230 cannon, Hydra unguided rockets and Hellfire anti-tank missiles. Uses specialized AH-64 wheels and can carry additional fuel tanks.

UH-1 Huey

A legendary military transport helicopter from the Vietnam War era. Powered by Lycoming T-53 engine, uses skids and capable of transporting 2 pilots, 6 passengers or cargo. Additionally can carry two side-mounted M60 machine guns and special weapon mount for rockets and miniguns.

CH-47 Chinook

A heavy transport helicopter with tandem rotor design providing exceptional lifting capacity. Requires large landing area and consumes significant fuel when fully loaded. Accommodates 2 pilots, 16 passengers or cargo items, plus 3 gunner positions with machine guns.

Main Features

The pack includes ingame helicopter operation manual that can be crafted from lever, stick and book. Each model has specific engines and main rotors that cannot be arbitrarily replaced.

All helicopters feature functional lighting systems, instrument panels and moving control elements. Modern models include Primary Flight Display and engine-fuel displays for convenient piloting.

Combat Systems

Combat helicopters support various weapon types. M230 follows the pilot's line of sight, Hydra rockets fire straight forward, while Hellfire missiles target selected objectives. M134 minigun features high rate of fire. Note that weapons can damage blocks and environment.

AH-64 Apache includes special cameras for viewing from nose or gun perspectives, significantly aiding aiming during flight. Enable display settings to show weapon selection indicators.

External fuel tanks double Apache's flight range. Although fuel gauge doesn't display their contents, level can be checked visually.
