                Happy Ghast [1.20+1.21++ Backport]
The world of Minecraft now offers an amazing opportunity to tame and interact with ghasts thanks to this modification!

The mod requires GeckoLib to function properly. If you experience issues with animations, try disabling entity shadows in shaders.
What's New in Version 1.7.6
The latest update fixed various bugs, including the issue with mobs riding boats and added compatibility with Create Train mod. A new in-game achievement has also been introduced.
How to Get a Happy Ghast
In the Nether, among the soul sand valleys, you can find fossils containing dried ghasts. Simply break them with your hand and collect the find in your inventory.
Returning to the normal world, place the dried ghast on any surface and waterlog it. After approximately one minute, the rehydration process will begin, accompanied by green particles. When the transformation is complete, the creature will acquire one of four possible emotions: semi-normal, normal, serious, or happy.

Taming and Interaction
The transformed ghastling pet is tamed with snowballs. This floating creature will follow the player and other ghastlings after taming.
To turn a ghast into a happy ghast, you first need to tame the ghastling and feed it lots of snowballs again. The appeared happy ghast should be tamed again, after which you can put a harness of any color on it (this feature will be implemented soon).
Ghast control is done using keys: R to descend and space to ascend.
The mod uses original textures and sounds, as well as unique crafting recipes. Ghastlings spawn in approximately 1 minute 30 seconds.

It's important to note that this is not an official backport from Mojang, but an independent implementation of the concept presented at Minecraft Live 2025. The developers continue to actively work on improving the mod and adding new features.
