Harder Farther Core
Harder Farther has become too complex to support and maintain, leading to the creation of this core module.
Main Features
This base mod performs several key functions:
- Calculates overall difficulty for other mods in the Harder Farther series
- Configures monster attributes based on difficulty level
- Manages fog according to configuration (disable, GrimLife only, full enable)
Difficulty Configuration
The mod offers extensive customization options, allowing server owners, pack creators, and regular players to adapt it to their needs. Each main feature can be enabled or disabled with a single setting.
Monster Boosts
By default, monsters become stronger starting from 1000 meters from world spawn, reaching maximum at 30,000 meters. The boost is approximately 3.3% per 1000 meters. On multiplayer servers, it's recommended to configure the range from 1000 to 50,000 or even 100,000 meters.
At maximum distance, monsters receive:
- +200% health
- +100% damage
- +50% speed
- 70% knockback resistance
- +100% experience drops
Fog Effects
By default, the mod creates red fog that depends on distance from spawn, life points, and Grim Citadels. The fog changes color from pinkish at low difficulty levels to deep crimson in high-danger zones.
Fog settings:
- 0 - disable fog effects
- 1 - fog only for Grim Citadels
- 2 - add fog for distance from world spawn
Commands and Compatibility
Commands are currently in development, so settings need to be edited through the configuration file.
Why Was This Mod Created?
The original Harder Farther mod became too bulky and affected many functional areas of Minecraft, making it vulnerable to errors. Splitting into several modules allows:
- Loading only necessary components into memory
- Simplifying support and updates
- Providing an interface for other mod developers
