Head Bump Resurrected
We present to you an enhanced version of the popular Head Bump mod originally created by developer stephenb6174. It has been completely reworked and is now ready for modern versions of Minecraft.
With this modification, the game mechanics become more realistic: your character now takes damage when hitting their head on the ceiling. This feature adds a completely new dimension to cave exploration, underground construction, and movement in tight spaces.
The good news is that protective helmets actually work! By wearing any helmet, you can avoid injuries from collisions, but keep in mind - each impact will gradually reduce the durability of your protective headgear.
The mod offers extensive customization options through the datapack system. You can independently determine which blocks will not cause damage upon collision. The standard configuration already excludes all soft blocks, various plants, passable blocks, and those that don't have contact with the ground.
If you discover that some standard block from the original game should be added to the safe list but is missing from the current settings, the developer will be happy to receive your suggestions.
Important note: this mod is developed exclusively for Forge version 1.18.2 and above. Porting to Fabric or older Forge versions is not planned.
