Health and Hunger Tweaks - Overhaul of Hunger and Health System
This mod is no longer supported by the developer, but its source code is available for forking and further development.
Health and Hunger Tweaks fundamentally changes the standard hunger and health regeneration mechanics in Minecraft, making them more balanced and interesting for players who find the original system annoying and inconvenient.
Main Changes
The mod introduces the following key changes to gameplay:
- Reduction of hunger depletion rate to half of standard
- Addition of "Satiated" effect that temporarily stops hunger depletion after eating food
- Complete disabling of health regeneration through saturation and fullness
- New regeneration system: health recovery begins 10 seconds after taking damage and occurs significantly faster
- Additional medical kit system for healing
The update to version 2.0.0 brought significant changes to the mod's mechanics, so it's recommended to familiarize yourself with detailed information about the innovations.
Compatibility with Other Mods
The mod is compatible with Tough as Nails, allowing setting minimum thirst value for regeneration activation. However, there is incompatibility with ToughExpansion due to conflicting thirst checking mechanisms, which can be disabled in the configuration file.
