What is HeatAndClimate?
This mod introduces "Climate" and "Temperature" concepts to your world, opening up new gameplay possibilities.
Climate System
- Extreme weather conditions damage players and mobs (affects all entities equally)
- Climate influences crop growth rates
- Ambient temperature can be used for cooking food and smelting metals
Agriculture
- Collect wild plants that spawn naturally in the world
- Obtain new crop varieties through mutations
- Plants serve as materials for creating clothing that protects against climate damage
- Some rare crops contain magical ingredients
- Tree growth depends on the current in-game season
Clothing
- Multi-layer clothing system allows combining different wardrobe items
- You can wear a doublet under standard armor or a jacket over a shirt
Food System
- Cooking utilizes ambient heat
- Place raw food items near fire for grilling or use special pot blocks
- Finished meals can be placed in the world as separate objects
Magical Elements
- Create magical items using pigments and precious gems
- Magic arrows and cards are single-use items
- Magic jewels activate when placed in the top section of your inventory
Ore Veins and Machinery
- Mineral veins add new building materials, metals, and gems
- Added metals are used to create machines
- Machinery helps control climate and efficiently gather resources
- HaCv4 uses electrical energy
Important Notes
- HaCv4 no longer requires the HeatAndClimateLib library
- The module system from version 3 has been removed, disabling extra items/blocks is no longer possible
