About the Modification

This mod is an addition that introduces new tameable mobs - hedgehogs, along with related mechanics and items into the game.

Kiwis

• Kiwis can be obtained from wandering traders
• The fruits can be consumed as food or planted to grow new plants
• Hedgehogs particularly love kiwis and respond positively to these fruits

Hedgehog Features

Hedgehogs are new tameable creatures that can be found in meadows. They can be tamed using kiwis or regular apples.

These spiky creatures possess protective instincts:

• Attack most hostile mobs (except creepers), especially when they have low health
• Hunt spiders to obtain spider eyes
• React fearfully to placed skulls nearby and creatures holding milk buckets

Interesting feature: if you name a hedgehog "SpeedBoy", it will acquire a blue coloration.

New Potion Mechanics

After consuming spider eyes, hedgehogs become ready for a special procedure. Potions can be applied to them, turning them into living containers for magical effects.

System operation features:

• Potion duration on the hedgehog corresponds to the standard effect duration
• Instant potions disappear upon contact with a player
• Effect transfer occurs only when the hedgehog is in a defensive pose (curled up)
• Upon touch, the player receives all active effects from the hedgehog

Technical Requirements

For the Fabric version of the mod to work, Fabric API installation is required.
