Horse Tweaks
This mod offers various saddle enhancements that significantly expand your horses' capabilities in Minecraft. Additionally, it includes several subtle changes designed to make horse interaction more convenient and less frustrating.
Main Features
The mod adds several specialized saddles with unique functions:
- Swimming Saddle - allows horses to swim without dismounting the rider in water (though movement speed in water is slow)
- Leafwalker Saddle - gives horses the ability to move freely through leaves without getting stuck
- Frostwalker Saddle - grants horses the "frost walker" effect, turning water under their hooves into ice for rapid movement across water surfaces
- Firewalker Saddle - perfect for Nether travel, creates crumbling magma blocks under the horse's feet, protecting from fire damage
- Jump Assist Saddle - removes the jump charge bar, allowing maximum strength jumps instantly
- Thorns Saddle - deals damage to enemies attacking the horse directly while simultaneously reducing incoming damage by 50%
- Feather Fall Saddle - completely eliminates fall damage for both the horse and rider
Additional Improvements
Beyond special saddles, the mod includes several useful mechanics:
- Leads automatically return to inventory when removed instead of dropping to the ground
- Right-clicking a horse with armor or a saddle immediately equips the item without needing to open the inventory
- When dismounting a tamed horse, its home position is set, preventing the animal from wandering far from where it was left
- Upgraded saddles have durability that depletes when using special abilities (configurable in settings)
