Howling Moon
Immerse Yourself in the World of Werewolves
This modification opens up the possibility for players to transform into powerful werewolves. Gain access to unique abilities and experience a completely new gameplay experience in the world of Minecraft.
How to Become a Werewolf
To acquire the power of a werewolf, you need to contract lycanthropy. For this, head to forest areas during the full moon and allow a werewolf to attack you. After infection, your first transformation will occur on the next full moon night.
Ability Management
Upon becoming a werewolf, you gain access to a special menu where you can track your characteristics, customize your character's appearance, and select available skills. Control is handled through hotkeys:
Transformation: J
Werewolf Menu: K
Commands for Administrators
The following commands are available for server administrators:
/werewolf <true|false>
/werelevel <amount>
/wereprogress [0-8] [-1, 0, 1]
Moon Pearl
This valuable artifact can be obtained by defeating hunters who possess it. The Moon Pearl is necessary for developing werewolf abilities - every 5 levels, you need to have it in your inventory and go to sleep at night. Additionally, the pearl can reveal the identity of werewolves nearby in human form.
Hunter Lodges
Hunter lodges may appear near villages, intended to protect residents from werewolves and zombies. The banner serves as a rallying point for hunters and can summon them in the surrounding area. The banner can be moved, but if placed by a werewolf, it will stop summoning hunters.
Silver - The Main Weakness
Any weapon or tool made from silver (uses ingotSilver from OreDictionary) will be particularly effective against werewolves.
Progression System
The werewolf progression system offers gradual unlocking of abilities. Pay special attention to the level 20 trial - it's recommended to have only the moon pearl with you during sleep, as the final zone is designed to eliminate unsuccessful candidates.
Special Dimension
The mod adds a special dimension where blocks cannot be placed or destroyed (except in creative mode). If you encounter problems with getting stuck or NPCs not spawning, try leaving and returning. As a last resort, you can delete the "DIM-HM-FOREST" folder from the world directory (only when the game is not running).
Wolfsbane Texture
If you prefer the old wolfsbane texture, you can replace it yourself:
Download the texture, rename it to "wolfsbane", open the mod's jar file with an archiver, and place the texture in the assets\howlingmoon\textures\blocks\ folder.
Installation
The mod requires installed Forge to work. Simply place the downloaded jar file in the Mods folder of your game.
