Human Companions
Human Companions for Your Adventures
This mod adds realistic human companions to the game who will become your faithful helpers in exploring the Minecraft world. Compatible with Forge versions 1.16.5, 1.18.2, and 1.19.2.
What's New in the Game
You'll have access to four types of companions: knight, archer, axeguard, and crossbowman. Each has unique combat skills and appearance.

How to Find and Tame Companions
These characters live in special houses scattered across various biomes. Their dwellings are easily recognizable by their distinctive appearance.

To attract a companion to your side, you need to perform a few simple actions:
- Right-click on the character to find out what food they like
- Holding the required food in your hand, right-click again - when their appetite is satisfied, they will join you
- Each companion has a name, but you can change it using a name tag
- Use Shift+right-click to make the companion sit - in this state they won't move
Equipment and Management
Companions can wear armor and weapons, automatically selecting the best items from their inventory. However, they can only use the weapon type they originally spawned with. Archers and crossbowmen don't require arrows.
Your companions will follow you like wolves. They attack hostile mobs that attack you or that you attack. Creepers are an exception - when they approach, companions will warn you and retreat.
Put food in the companion's inventory, and they will restore health by eating it. The management menu has "Hunt" and "Alert" modes for behavior customization.
Movement Modes
You can switch companions between three states: following you, patrolling territory, and guarding a specific area. For archers and crossbowmen, there's a special "Stationary" option allowing them to shoot from one spot.
Useful Tips
Use the command /locate humancompanions:companion_house to quickly find companion houses. Companions level up by killing mobs (both hostile and peaceful). Every 3 levels, their health increases by 1 unit.
Known Issues
When a companion dies, item duplicates sometimes occur or some items from the inventory don't drop. Archers may continue shooting after killing a target - use the clear target button. Spawn eggs sometimes produce child companions who can't do anything and disappear when the game reloads. Knights sometimes hesitate before attacking.
