Illager Revolution

Illager Revolution

About the Mod:

Illager Revolution is a mod that fundamentally changes the difficulty of Minecraft, particularly regarding raids. It adds new game mechanics, varieties of illagers, weapons, tools, armor, pets, and much more while maintaining the vanilla aesthetic of the game.

🎯 New Mobs

⚔️ Blade Knight

Loot

  • Blade Knights are powerful foes wielding necromantic powers, capable of single-handedly turning the tide of a raid.
  • They curse everyone around them, resurrecting the fallen as undead under their control.
  • Depending on the inscribed runes, they summon either zombie illagers or fallen knights. The type of runes can be determined by the color of their sword.
  • Fallen knights cannot be killed—they reconstruct themselves until their summoner is destroyed or they are defeated with the Smite enchantment.
  • Zombie illagers are mindless undead, tougher than regular zombies but not very dangerous individually.
  • Blade Knights can perform deadly combos in close combat, though most can be blocked.
  • Besides their sword, they use their horned helmet to neutralize shields.
  • After performing too many combos, they briefly become exhausted and vulnerable to attacks.
  • When cursed enemies die near them, their souls are absorbed and permanently increase the Blade Knight's damage, so make sure to finish fights quickly!

🔮 Soul Sage

Loot

  • Soul Sages are experts in runic and soul magic, capable of supporting allies and damaging enemies with powerful spells.
  • They rely on souls to use their spells and are vulnerable when they have none. The number of souls can be determined by the orbs floating above them!
  • When low on souls, they can magically drain nearby enemies to regain health and souls, though this can be blocked with a shield.
  • They can shield allies with temporary runic shields that absorb all incoming damage and repel the attacker.
  • At a safe distance, they launch all active souls at enemies, creating pillars of devastating soul fire that can destroy even the toughest foes. Make sure to dodge!

⛏️ Miner

Loot

  • Illager Miners are greedy cowards dwelling in caves, searching for resources. They attempt to steal them from players and run away.
  • Miners become invisible after successfully stealing from a player; their location can be determined by their constant laughter.
  • They are not fighters and do not participate in raids, posing little serious threat.
  • Their helmet can be charged with emeralds for temporary haste and luck or amethysts for invisibility and a burst of speed.

🗑️ Scavenger

Loot

  • Scavengers roam the badlands in search of scrap.
  • They can chip pieces off your armor and use that scrap to create makeshift armor.
  • They can upgrade their armor up to 3 times, with the final level adding dangerous thorns.
  • Scavengers always carry sand in their pocket, which they can throw into their opponent's eyes to disorient them in the heat of battle.
  • Their visors provide immunity to blindness and highlight hostile creatures in dark areas.

🐾 Beast Tamer

Loot

  • Beast Tamers can be found in jungle biomes and during village raids—they never enter battle without a beast.
  • When engaging in combat, they whistle, summoning a beast to aid them.
  • They can use claw and poison arrows to inflict deep wounds and poison on enemies.

🐆 Raker

Loot

  • Rakers are agile felines capable of shredding prey with their claws and inflicting deep wounds.
  • They can be tamed by feeding them pufferfish when their health is low enough.
  • Rakers also leap at distant targets, dealing damage and closing the distance.
  • After taming, they can wear claw and body armor, increasing damage and resistance respectively.
  • Like other illager beasts, they are incapable of breeding, so be sure to equip them before battle.

🦮 Mauler

Loot

  • Maulers are rabid beasts that chomp on enemies and maul them to death.
  • When dealt enough damage, they enter a blind rage, becoming extremely deadly and tough, though they can be stunned with a shield, ending their rage.
  • Their bites can apply the Mauled effect.
  • They can be tamed by feeding them enough rotten flesh.
  • Maulers are never satiated and will eat rotten flesh even if full.
  • After taming, they can wear body armor, be ridden, and commanded to enter rage by pressing the "secondary attack key".
  • Tamed Maulers can also be commanded to maul any trapped prey by pressing the "special attack key".
  • Like other illager beasts, war paint can be applied to them using color dyes; they are also incapable of breeding, so be sure to equip them before battle.

🐦 Scrounger

Loot

  • Scroungers are annoying little birds with armor-piercing feathers, capable of hindering foes and aiding allies.
  • From time to time, they can spin, scattering feathers at all targets around them.
  • They can be tamed with fermented spider eyes if no Beast Tamers are nearby.
  • After taming, they can wear pouches to carry potions and will dance when a jukebox is playing.
  • They can apply different effects by coating their feathers with the potions in their pouches.
  • Like other illager beasts, war paint can be applied to them using color dyes; they are also incapable of breeding, so be sure to equip them before battle.

🐗 Wild Ravager

Loot

  • Wild Ravagers are young beasts slightly weaker than older ravagers due to lack of training and combat experience.
  • They can be tamed when stunned with a shield by feeding them hay bales.
  • After taming, they can wear body armor and be ridden.
  • Although incapable of jumping, tamed Ravagers can be ordered to roar, pushing enemies and projectiles away by pressing "spacebar".
  • They can perform a devastating charge that pushes away anything in their path by pressing the "secondary attack key".
  • If wearing war drums, they can be played by pressing the "special attack key", granting nearby players and beasts beneficial effects depending on the chosen drum.
  • Like other illager beasts, war paint can be applied to them using color dyes; they are also incapable of breeding, so be sure to equip them before battle.

✨ New Effects

Death Bound Death Bound

Entities bound to death leave a smoky trail and summon runes when taking damage.
