Illager World War
Mod Overview
This mod uses the Geckolib library for animations. A large-scale conflict erupts in the Minecraft world: villagers and pillagers engage in full-scale war using technology inspired by World War I. You, the player, find yourself right in the epicenter of these battles.
Warring Factions
Villager Army
Villagers are no longer defenseless! Various types of soldiers now appear in villages:
Soldier with rifle - the main combat unit armed with firearms.
Soldier with sword - melee fighter for close combat.
Artilleryman - operates a cannon based on the French 75-mm field gun model 1897.
Pilot - pilots wooden biplanes (after all, we're still in Minecraft!).
Flamethrower operator - specialist in incendiary weapons.
Peaceful villager soldier - behaves like a regular villager but wears military uniform.
Iron golem received a slight visual update.
Pillager Army
All mobs of the pillager family have been completely retextured and given a new military appearance:
Pillager - main infantry unit.
Vindicator - elite melee fighter.
Evoker - magical support (texture will be improved).
Witch - alchemist and potion maker.
Pillager soldier with rifle - counterpart to villager soldier.
Pillager artilleryman - operates own cannon.
Pillager pilot - pilots enemy biplanes.
Pillager flamethrower operator - incendiary specialist of the enemy side.
Game World Changes
Villages and Garrisons
Each village now naturally spawns 6-7 villager soldiers along with the iron golem. If for some reason soldiers don't generate, the system automatically creates additional defenders.
Raid System
The mod fundamentally changes raid mechanics:
Before raid: Pillagers can attack villages at any time. Signs of an impending attack - pillager planes patrolling the sky, suspicious movement of enemy soldiers around the village, and periodic sounds of war horns.
During raid: When attack begins, the traditional horn sounds, and raiders appear. In each wave, along with regular mobs, pillager soldiers appear, while the village receives reinforcements in the form of villager soldiers (including planes and cannons). Soldiers already in the village can send a help signal that summons additional defenders (though this ability is limited).
On Hard difficulty, raids become significantly more dangerous - more planes appear, which can lead to complete destruction of the village if the player isn't properly prepared.
After raid: If villagers lose, pillagers celebrate victory and leave. If villagers win, a trumpeter appears who plays the TAPS funeral melody in honor of the fallen. Sometimes the winning faction sends builders to restore the village (feature in development).
Incursions
Periodically, pillagers may attack villages or the player himself in small groups. These events are called incursions. Incursions can be disabled by crafting and signing a Declaration of Non-Belligerence.
Structures
Pillager outposts have received a new military appearance and enhanced protection.
Items and Resources
Red Glowstone
This ore is found similarly to redstone and has two uses:
1) Creating red glowstone glass and, consequently, red glowstone spyglass (functionality not yet implemented).
2) Use in brewing stand to create spontaneous combustion potions. By turning them into splash and then lingering potions, you can create red glowstone tipped arrows that make hit targets explode. These arrows are particularly effective against planes.
Help Bell
Very rare item dropped from pillager planes (changes planned with boss addition). Functionally similar to totem of immortality - when used, summons villager soldiers. During raids, the bell creates more defenders. Use it wisely - the item is single-use.
Move Tool
Easily craftable item for moving villager soldiers with cannons or planes. Essential for creating your own "villager army".
Additional Features
Want to join the pillagers? Execute the command "/team join pillagers" to become their ally. To return to the villager side, use the command "/team join villagers". In the future, this system will be changed to work without using cheats.
Two craftable blocks have been added - Forge and Gunning Table, which are workplaces for new villager professions: Forger and Gun Expert.
Forger sells Steel - a new metal introduced by the mod, used for weapon crafting.
Gun Expert sells rarer and more powerful weapons for emeralds and sometimes steel.
Future Plans
Planned for future updates:
Optimization of obtaining red glowstone tipped arrows
Addition of boss for pillagers
In update 1.2: ability to recruit Nitwits, turning them into unarmed villager soldiers by giving them uniforms. By giving them weapons, player can choose their specialization - knife, rifle, or cannon.
In update 1.3: ability to build planes and place villager soldiers in them.
Mod created using MCreator. Using MCreator doesn't limit feature addition capabilities - you can fully program with it.
