Immersive Engineering

Immersive Engineering is a technology mod created with a distinctive design approach, inspired by the works of Damien Hazard. It invites players to immerse themselves in a world of realistic technology, where thoughtful alternatives replace standard solutions.

Instead of glowing energy tubes, actual suspended power lines are used here. Ore processing doesn't happen in a magical block but in a crusher—a large multiblock structure measuring 5×3×3 with rotating wheels and visual effects during operation. For resource extraction, an excavator is employed—another massive multiblock measuring 3×7×8 with a rotating bucket wheel that extracts ore from the earth's depths.

The mod aims to balance aesthetics and functionality, opting for a retro-futurism style (reminiscent of BioShock, Order 1886, or SkyCaptain and the World of Tomorrow) instead of sterile technological cubes. It is compatible with the Forge Energy API but can also be used standalone. A distinctive feature is energy transfer through cables between connectors rather than through adjacent blocks.

Among the power generation methods are water wheels, windmills, biodiesel, and other options. Many devices are multiblock structures. To explore the mod's capabilities, create an engineer's manual in-game by combining a book and a lever.
