Impractical Storage
One of the most significant issues in Minecraft, especially in the modded version, is the loss of realistic scale perception. Modern mods often provide magical blocks that can perform any task and store unlimited resources while taking up minimal space. This removes the incentive to build massive factories and spacious warehouses, as most of such structures would remain empty.
Impractical Storage fundamentally changes this approach. Unlike traditional storage systems that compress thousands of items into a single compact block with an interface, here the game world itself becomes your storage space. You can store exactly as many items as the available surrounding space allows.
The main element of the mod is a block called the Controller. Once placed in the world, it creates a special zone measuring 9x8x8 (sizes will be customizable through the interface in future versions). All blocks and items you load into the system are stored within this area. The Controller's interface functions as a standard inventory, ensuring compatibility with other mods that interact with storage systems.
