Improvable Skills

The Improvable Skills modification is a complete overhaul of the old PlayerStats and PlayerStats 2 mods by Zeitheron and xMrVizzy, created using the modern HammerLib library.

Skill System

With this modification, players can develop their abilities using experience and the Book of Skills. Each skill provides unique bonuses:

Production Skills

• Accelerated Furnace - increases smelting speed in furnaces
• Alchemist - speeds up brewing stand operation
• Cutting - improves axe working speed
• Digging - increases digging speed with shovels
• Mining - accelerates mining with pickaxes

Combat Skills

• Attack Speed - increases swing speed of any tool or weapon
• Dense Skin - adds extra armor points
• PvP Protection - reduces damage taken in player combat
• Sharp Arrow - increases ranged damage against any entity
• Strong Fist - boosts melee damage against any entity

Survival and Movement

• Extra Health - increases maximum health up to +20 HP (10 hearts)
• Fast Swimmer - improves movement speed in water
• King of the Ladder - speeds up ladder climbing
• Leaper - increases jump height
• Soft Landing - reduces fall damage

Special Skills

• Enchanter - lowers minimum level required for enchanting items
• Ender Manipulator - reduces damage taken from ender pearls
• Experience Harvesting - increases experience gained from mining, animal breeding, fishing, and killing mobs
• Fast Growth - randomly applies bone meal to surrounding plants
• Huckster - reduces villager trading prices
• Luck of The Sea - attracts fish to your fishing hook
• Obsidian Skin - reduces fire and lava damage
• Silent Foot - decreases vibration radius
• Soul Speed - increases movement speed on soul sand but damages boots like the enchantment
• Treasure of the Sands - allows finding treasures in sand

Abilities

In addition to skills, the mod adds useful abilities:

• Auto XP Bank - stores excess experience in the bank while keeping the desired amount of levels
• Blacksmith - opens a repair menu that works like a regular anvil
• Crafter - provides access to 3x3 crafting menu like a crafting table
• Enchanter - opens enchanting menu with ability to upgrade portable enchanting table level
• Magnetism - activates a magnet that pulls all items within configurable range

Additional Elements

• Parchment Fragment - used to create ability scrolls (details in game tooltips or JEI)
