In The Gloom

This modification fundamentally changes the approach to exploring dark places in Minecraft. Without a reliable light source, you'll find yourself in serious danger. Naturally dark locations like caves instantly become hazardous, and nighttime poses a threat almost always - only during full moon periods can you feel relatively safe.

While in the gloom, the player gradually loses their abilities, and the condition steadily worsens. If you don't provide sufficient lighting, the consequences will be extremely unpleasant - you'll either be forced to urgently find light or face severe consequences from prolonged darkness exposure.

For maximum immersion, it's recommended to combine this mod with True Darkness Refabricated, especially with the BTW Styled Darkness configuration, which creates a truly terrifying atmosphere.
