Incapacitated - Critical Condition Survival System
The Incapacitated mod introduces a unique temporary survival mechanic to Minecraft after receiving fatal damage. Inspired by revival systems from various game genres, it adds an intermediate stage between life and death.
How the System Works
When your character takes enough damage to die (in the absence of other factors preventing death), you enter an "incapacitated" state. In this state, you can only crawl, but you get a chance for rescue - fellow players can revive you. Settings allow you to modify various parameters of this process: time required for resuscitation, number of available "downs," and bleeding duration until final death.
Key Features
Three Survival Attempts: By default, a player can enter critical condition three times before final death.
Emergency Assistance: Consuming an enchanted golden apple instantly returns you to life, while a regular golden apple restores the number of available "downs."
Voluntary Departure: The /incap die command allows you to accept the inevitable faster while in critical condition.
Last Chance: Client settings can activate a desaturation filter during the last "down."
Fatal Situations: Some causes of death (such as lava) result in instant death regardless of remaining attempts.
Flexible Configuration: Almost all mechanics and numerical parameters can be adjusted to your preferences, including modifiers that directly affect the system's functionality.
Available Commands
Commands /incap and /incapacitated are interchangeable:
/incapacitated getDownedCount [Player] - Shows the number of remaining "downs" until death
/incapacitated die - Accelerates death while in critical condition
/incapacitated setDownedCount [Player] [DownCount] - Forcibly sets the number of "downs" (operator rights required)
/incapacitated setDowned [Player] [true/false] - Forcibly incapacitates or revives (operator rights required)
/incapacitated config reload - Reloads server/common settings (operator rights required)
