Indexed
The Indexed mod completely overhauls the enchanting and anvil systems in Minecraft, introducing numerous innovations and changes to gameplay.
Major Changes
Each enchantable item now has a limit on the number of enchantments it can hold. Exceeding this limit makes the item impossible to enhance or repair. However, you can find overcharged items in chests or create them on an anvil. Overcharged tools can be cleared of enchantments using a grindstone. Level caps can be disabled in configuration.
Enchantments can now reach level five (except for Silk Touch, Channeling, and Infinity). Almost all enchantment compatibility restrictions have been removed - you can now combine Infinity with Mending. The only exception remains Fortune and Silk Touch.
New Repair System
You can now repair items with materials without spending experience - for example, repair a diamond pickaxe with diamonds absolutely free. The amount of materials depends on how many enchantments are on the item. Regular repair using tools and experience also remains available.
New Enchantments and Curses
Slow Burn - for elytra, slows down firework flight speed but significantly increases their duration.
Quick Flight - speeds up movement with fireworks but reduces their action time (disabled by default in configuration).
Slow Burn and Quick Flight are compatible - using them simultaneously (for example, both at level three) slightly increases both speed and duration.
Forgery - reduces the repair cost of the tool.
Keeping - rare enchantment with 60-100% chance to keep the item after death. Keeping V gives 100% chance but uses 5 slots.
Curse of the Hidden - makes the item invisible in first or third person, but it remains visible on the ground and in the inventory. Excellent for showing off your skin while wearing armor.
Curse of Mystery - hides all enchantments on loot items.
Essence - appears only in loot, unavailable from villagers and enchanting tables. Provides a lot of experience when used in a grindstone.
Additional Changes
Villagers no longer sell enchanted books above level three and only trade treasures and curses. These restrictions can be disabled.
Mending is no longer a treasure and has become a rare enchantment on enchanting tables. Silk Touch is now "RARE" instead of "VERY RARE".
To balance with level five, Quick Charge, Sharpness, Knockback, Punch, and Protection have been nerfed. These changes can also be turned off in settings.
Riptide now works normally when dry instead of being completely inoperable. Tridents with Riptide fly farther than usual.
The 7-level cap on experience retrieval after death has been removed. Copper, iron, and gold ore now provide experience when mined. Achievements have been added.

Configuration
There are two configuration files: "indexed.properties" and "indexed_modded_items.json".
In the first one, you can disable restrictions for villagers and enchantments, return Mending to treasures, or enable the Quick Flight enchantment. By default, automatic configuration updates are enabled.
In the second file, you can add limits and repair settings for modded items or change existing settings. max_enchanting_slots - maximum number of enchantments, repair_scaling - repair cost with materials (recommended 1.0).
After making changes, simply use the /reload command without restarting the game.
Mod Compatibility
The mod works with most modifications, and special support is already built in for:
- Outvoted
- BetterNether
- BetterEnd
- AdventureZ
- Gate of Babylon
- Dragon Loot
- Mattock
- Carve My Pumpkin

Important: When using Charm, set "AnvilImprovements" to false and "TotemOfPreserving" to false, otherwise the Keeping enchantment won't work.
