Item Decay
Adds a realistic natural aging system for items throughout all Minecraft world inventories. All your belongings lose durability or completely disappear over time if stored in regular containers.
System Overview
This modification introduces the concept of natural item spoilage system. Tools and armor spontaneously lose durability at certain intervals, while part of items gradually disappears from material stacks through specified time periods.
Protective Devices
Protect your property with special security mechanisms:
Stasis Chest - functions as a regular container but completely protects items inside from any type of decay
Hotbar Stabilizer - each instance in inventory protects 3 hotbar slots. More than three is unnecessary
Inventory Stabilizer - protects from decay an entire row of backpack slots. Three devices cover the entire inventory
Stasis Field - creates a protective zone 11×11 blocks (configurable), safeguarding all players, entities, containers and mechanisms inside. Right-click shows/hides effective radius
Maximum Protection
The following locations are completely protected from the decay system:
- AE2 storage systems
- Ender chests (configurable)
- Shulker boxes in personal inventory
- Items on the ground
- Crafting grids
- Character's secondary hand
Deep Configuration
Balance gameplay difficulty through an extensive configuration system:
- Exceptions for certain items and containers
- Armor durability reduction speed (per second)
- Number of items removed from player stacks
- Item reduction in regular containers
- Tool behavior when reaching zero durability
- Interval between removal procedures (in ticks: 300 = 15 seconds)
- Stasis field effective radius
- Tool durability wear rate
Perfect addition for modpacks requiring high-difficulty survival atmosphere and strategic resource planning.
