Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this in modpacks?

Yes, that's exactly what the mod was created for! It allows you to remove from the game items that disrupt balance or create problems.

Is installation required on both client and server?

The mod must be installed on both sides. Some functions work only on the client, others on the server. You can use it only on the server, but then integration with JEI/REI/EMI and removal from creative mode will not work.

What if I make a mistake in the item ID in the configuration?

Nothing bad will happen. Incorrect IDs are simply ignored, and the item is not blocked. The same thing happens if the mod with such an item is not installed, but if you add it later and the ID is correct - blocking will work.

Configuration Example

Configuration is very simple - you need to add JSON entries for each item you want to remove. You can block both vanilla items and items from any mods using the correct namespace, for example: minecraft:golden_apple

The configuration file is located in the config folder under the name "item_obliterator.json5" (for versions >=2.0.0) or "item_obliterator.json" (for versions < 2.0.0)
