Josh's Magic Staffs

This mod aims to diversify the standard Minecraft gameplay by offering additional goals and making the game more engaging. It also finds uses for rarely used items such as lightning rods and phantom membranes.

Most staffs have an additional ability activated by holding SHIFT + right-click.

Magic Staffs

Fire Staff:

• Primary attack: Flame thrower
• Additional ability: Fireball shot
• Passive effect: Fire damage absorption
• Crafting recipe: Stick surrounded by blaze powder

Water Staff:

• Primary action: Water placement
• Additional ability: Temporary water buffs
• Passive effect: Drowning protection
• Crafting recipe: Stick and heart of the sea

Ice Staff:

• Primary attack: Ice beam
• Additional ability: Blizzard summon
• Passive effect: Freezing protection
• Crafting recipe: Stick surrounded by snowballs

Forest Staff:

• Primary action: Plant growth acceleration
• Additional ability: Restore 1 hunger
• Crafting recipe: Stick surrounded by bone meal

Healing Staff:

• Primary ability: Healing beam
• Additional ability: Self-healing
• Crafting recipe: Stick surrounded by ghast tears

Wither Staff:

• Primary attack: Wither beam
• Additional ability: Wither skull shot
• Passive effect: Wither effect protection
• Crafting recipe: Stick and wither skull

Gravity Staff:

• Primary attack: Levitation beam for creatures
• Additional ability: Fall damage immunity for 10 seconds
• Crafting recipe: Stick surrounded by phantom membranes

Redstone Staff:

• Primary action: Invisible redstone source placement up to 40 blocks away
• Crafting recipe: Stick surrounded by redstone

Electric Staff:

• Primary attack: Lightning strike with chain reaction
• Additional ability: Electricity spread like a disease
• Passive effect: Lightning strike protection
• Crafting recipe: Stick with lightning rods top and bottom, iron ingots on sides

Storm Staff:

• Primary attack: Lightning summon on target
• Additional ability: Lightning around player
• Passive effect: Lightning and fire protection
• Crafting recipe: Stick completely surrounded by lightning rods

Lava Staff:

• Primary attack: Lava creation on target
• Additional ability: 3x3 grid of temporary lava
• Passive effect: Lava and fire protection
• Crafting recipe: Stick surrounded by lava buckets

Cloaking Staff:

• Primary ability: Short-term invisibility
• Additional ability: Invisibility with speed boost
• Crafting recipe: Stick surrounded by golden carrots

Ender Staff:

• Primary ability: Creature teleportation to player
• Additional ability: Teleportation to selected block (up to 40 blocks)
• Crafting recipe: Stick with ender eyes top, bottom, and sides

Warden Staff:

• Primary attack: Sonic boom attack
• Additional ability: Sculk catalyst placement
• Crafting recipe: Stick and sculk catalyst
