Json Things
What is this mod?
Json Things opens up completely new possibilities for Minecraft players to create content! This tool allows you to define various game elements exclusively through JSON files, without the need to write code.

Main Features
With Json Things you can create:
- Various items (food, tools, armor, blocks, and much more)
- New quality tiers for tools
- Armor materials with unique characteristics
- Creative mode tabs
- Blocks of all types (slabs, stairs, fences, doors, etc.)
- Custom block shapes
- Ready-made block sets (for example, wooden sets with sounds)
- Fluids
- Enchantments
- Sound effects
How does it work?
The mod uses a "Thingpacks" system - archives similar to resource packs and data packs. Inside such archives are JSON files with content descriptions, as well as necessary resources and data.
To install a thingpack, simply place it in the thingpacks folder in the game directory or drag and drop it into the Json Things settings window. Interestingly, the loader also automatically adds these packs to the resource packs and data packs lists, making the mod a universal content loader!

Documentation and Examples
For those who want to create their own thingpacks, official documentation is available with a complete description of the JSON file structure. Also in the mod releases you'll find the "Sandwood" example - a demonstration pack that is constantly updated and serves as an excellent reference for creating your own content.
Compatibility
The mod is compatible with almost all modpacks and mods, unless their licenses conflict with the Json Things license (which is unlikely).
Future Plans
- Adding a scripting system (in development)
- Expanding functionality
