Jumploader
⚠️ Important Warning
This mod completely stops Forge mods from loading - it does not allow Forge and Fabric mods to be used together!
Before joining worlds where Forge mods were previously used, be sure to create backups - all blocks and items added by those mods will disappear.
What is Jumploader?
Jumploader is a special tool that allows integrating Fabric mods into CurseForge modpacks. It works by loading Fabric as a regular Forge mod. It supports both client and server sides of the game, and on the server it's only needed if you use tools that work exclusively with Forge.
The mod is fully configurable and can load any version of Minecraft and any mod loader, but by default automatically selects the appropriate versions of Fabric loader and libraries for your current game version. It's important to note that Jumploader only activates when launched through Forge/ModLauncher and doesn't work if your launcher already supports Fabric.
Main Features
- Replaces Forge with Fabric (or another configured mod loader) when launched through Forge
- Automatically loads the latest version of Fabric loader for your Minecraft version without manual configuration
- If necessary, loads the unmodified version of Minecraft for compatibility with Fabric
- Ensures that Fabric and Mixin don't see classes loaded by ModLauncher
Limitations
- Does not support joint operation of Fabric and Forge mods - Jumploader intercepts the launch process so that Forge doesn't load at all. For Forge mod compatibility with Fabric, there is the Patchwork project
- Limited work with different Minecraft versions - on the client, problems may occur when loading game versions with a different major number (including snapshots), since additional resources (sounds, etc.) are downloaded by the launcher separately. This issue is resolved by the Asset Validator mod
System Requirements
Requires a Forge version that uses ModLauncher (or ModLauncher itself without Forge) - usually versions 1.13 and newer.
Updating Fabric Loader
Jumploader installs the latest version of Fabric loader on the first game launch, but doesn't update it automatically to prevent conflicts in existing modpacks. To change the version, edit the pinFabricLoaderVersion property in the jumploader.json configuration file.
