Better Item Frames

Invisible and fixed item frames in Survival mode!

Transform regular and glow item frames into invisible ones and back right in Survival mode! You can also lock item rotation in frames to prevent accidental clicks.

🪄 How to use?

Creating invisible frames

To make an item frame invisible, crouch and right-click the frame while holding shears in your main hand. The frame's background will disappear, making it invisible. This action consumes shears durability, taking into account the Unbreaking enchantment (even levels above three).

Restoring visibility

There are two ways to restore frame visibility: you can simply break and replace the frame, or, if you have many such frames and want to save time, crouch and right-click the frame while holding a brush in your main hand. The background will return to place. The action consumes brush durability considering the Unbreaking enchantment.

Locking item rotation

To fix an item's position in a frame, crouch and right-click the frame while holding a glass pane in your main hand. The pane will be consumed as if it's securing the item. The item itself can be changed, but it can no longer be rotated. To unlock rotation, you need to break the frame and place it again.

🧹 Uninstallation

Better Item Frames includes an uninstallation process. Running it will:

• Remove all scores and storage related to this data pack
• If there are no other KawaMood data packs installed, also remove all common scores and storage

It won't make visible or unlock rotation of already modified frames, but you can simply break and replace them manually before or after uninstallation.

The command to start the uninstallation process:

/function pk_be_it:cmd/uninstall

If you encounter a problem while using this data pack, it's preferable to join the Discord server and create a post in the #data-pack-issues channel to describe your issue. Please don't forget to provide all necessary information, including:

• The Minecraft version you're using
• The data pack version
• Whether you're using modified versions like Forge, Paper, or Spigot
• If yes, which plugins or mods might affect data pack functionality
• List of other data packs you're using
• Clear description of the issue and how to reproduce it
• If necessary - video or screenshot of the issue in-game
