🔊 Kev's Projectile Immunity Fix
Kev's Projectile Immunity Fix is a compact Fabric mod that significantly improves Minecraft's combat mechanics by altering how invulnerability works when hit by multiple projectiles simultaneously.
❓ Original Game Problem
In the standard version of Minecraft, when a creature is hit by an arrow, thrown weapon, or magical projectile, it temporarily becomes immune to all subsequent attacks. This prevents effective volley fire tactics, as even a dozen arrows fired simultaneously will only deal damage from the first hit.
⚙️ How the Mod Works
The mod fundamentally changes this system:
- 🤖 Mobs Only - players are not affected by the changes
- 🎯 Immunity Disabled - projectile hits temporarily remove protection against repeated attacks
- 🔄 Balanced Approach - after a certain number of hits, default immunity period activates
- ⏰ Flexible Settings - all parameters are configurable via configuration file
Note: During testing, Dummy mod and Too Many Bows Mod were used.
🛠️ Balance Configuration
After first launch, a configuration file config/projectileimmunityfix.json is created with the following options:
| Parameter | Description | Default Value |
|---|---|---|
maxHitsBeforeCooldown |
Maximum number of hits before restoring standard immunity | 10 |
cooldownTicks |
Duration of protection period (in ticks) after exceeding hit limit | 20 (1 second) |
timeWithoutHitResetTicks |
Time without hits after which counter resets (in ticks) | 20 (1 second) |
You can adjust these values to make combat more dynamic or realistic according to your gameplay package balance.
