About the Modification
Knights and Heraldry aims to recreate authentic European Late Medieval weapons and armor. This modification leverages Better Combat capabilities for a complete overhaul of Minecraft's combat system.
The arsenal includes diverse weapons - from classic daggers and spears to rare arquebuses and hand cannons. Detailed and customizable armor makes combat more immersive compared to simple mouse clicks.

Combat System
The combat system features its own stamina mechanics, dynamic attack range (positioning now matters), and different damage types. Animations and basic combat changes are based on Better Combat.
Damage Types

Three new damage types have been added, effective against the modification's armor:
- Slashing
- Piercing (effective only on critical hits)
- Bludgeoning
Attack Ranges

Each weapon has an effective range and maximum damage zone. Being too close or too far from the target reduces damage dealt - positioning in combat now truly matters.
Armor

Armor has a two-level system. First, you choose basic protection - gambeson (effective against bludgeoning attacks) or mail (resistant to slashing attacks). Then plate and brigandine armor are added as accessories to enhance overall protection at the cost of increased hunger consumption.
Stamina

When using Knights and Heraldry weapons and armor, a stamina bar appears above the hunger indicator. Sprinting, jumping, attacking, taking damage (in full plate armor), and other actions deplete stamina. When stamina reaches zero, the character becomes temporarily exhausted and can only move slowly, requiring careful tactical choices in combat.
Getting Started
Knights and Heraldry equipment is not crafted but obtained through trading with respective professions in a functioning village. By increasing villagers' skill levels, you gain access to more advanced equipment, including firearms.
